Another day of laziness? Stimulate your brain!

i despise laziness especially when i, myself, am not doing anything constructive. in order to prevent my brain from being rusty, rotten and eventually become senile in future (gosh it's a scary thought!) i try to do either one of these things below to stimulate my brain.

* PLAY with WORDS, either puns or crosswords or board games - it helps the brain to percieve things from different perspective (my favourite game, literati on yahoo games!)

* READING - as little as 15 minutes gets your brain kicking and keeping memory strong. (i guess it depends on the material you are reading. say, reading glossy mags covered with scantily clothes models or celebs on how their life changed over the years and endless moaning about unable to have a "normal" life as other people, doesn't really count as the number one brain kicking material) -

* COUNTING and CALCULATING without depending on calculator. (ahh .. yes, not quite my favourite choice)

* WRITING - helps to clarify thoughts, ideas and help to improve memory and logical thinking. (writing this, yes, it helps to clarify my thought)

i hope you are starting to stimulate your brain now! in case you are lacking in motivation, remember, letting your brain inactive increase the chances of you getting senile dementia when you are old. fancy that? (not exactly the future i look forward to!!)

hey Literati rules!!! u go girl!
talk about rotten at home... that makes the 2 of us

The other day, i received a parcel from my sister, containing various stuff mainly food from Malaysia . Well, u know, kinda stuff which u can hardly find in tesco or sainsbury's.

I was very excited. Hmm, let's see,.. i've got sambal ikan bilis, (nyumm nyumm which is my most favourite of all), kuih bunga ros & kuih sepit (hehehe, ngidam nak makan lame dah), all sort of spices and leaves such as daun kari, daun pandan, daun limau etc, asam boi (mane nak carik kat uk nih?) and lots more. call me pathetic but i really really miss all our tasty malay food. especially the one cooked by my sister, kak dayang.

ehhehe... this is what a friend of mine called malaysian survival kit. cheers zam!

My God.. Mayang.. you got lots of goodies in that box... emmm yummy yummy in my tummy... whenever you cook that stuff, you better had think of me....!! Sat 10-Dec-2005 12:48

let's play layang-layang!

kite succesfully launched.. and then stucked on the tree!

we went kite flying yesterday. the first kite flies really well but the second one didn't get launch properly till today. i was hopeless with the kite. it kept coming back down hitting the grown. so, i gave up. (hence, i took pictures instead).

mum bought those lovely kites for muffin's birthday present. sue came and stay with us in the weekend and we had a nice dinner at the local pub last night. mmm, the grilled halibut was delicious!

feel much better today. god, yesterday was awful. i absolutely hate it when i get moody with everybody around me (altho they are completely innocent!) and i can't do anything about it..apologised to sue cos i wasnt exactly being friendly with her when she arrived in the morning. you know, the once in a month cycle period of time which occurs to every single women who's reached puberty. didn't feel like talking to anybody at all and it got worse when i was at the point of hating myself the most.. oh it's horrible.

ah, anyway i'm glad it's over now and hopefully i can cope better next month with this what i called imbalance hormones syndrome. (i doubt it but no harms in positive thinking eh)

other than that it's a very pleasant day walking around bodicote's country area with mum, sue and muffin earlier this morning.

wow mat salleh belajar main kite hehehe...bagus tu!!

i don't mind waiting.. NOT FOR 2 HOURS!!

prizes for waiting two hours and half in a cold day..
tadaa...
Mr cool Martin and Sue
View all 4 photos...
muffin had a job interview in London and it was a bit unfortunate that the wheather sucks. we arrived quite early, had a snack and i had to wait around while he went in. i thought, ok well at least i can go to the book store and shop around. what i didn't realised after is that there wasn't much money with me.

so, i couldn't shop anything, waited for an hour.. plus another hour.. and in between that time my poor feet started screaming. first quietly which i happily ignored until it sort of said 'why? why do u torture me with this painful high heel boots?' in the next half an hour, i needed to pee very badly but resist to walk into a pub to use their toilet becoz.. i feel embarrased. so,
feet's screaming,
bladder's full,
it's a cold day..

obviously i was not the most enjoyable day of my life.

aah, finally the phone singing some tune and we met again afterwards. i wasn't impressed with the amount of time i waited though i shouldn't complain cos i willingly wanted to come along. but Muffin had to payback my 2 hours and a half of pain and agony. already i decided he has to buy me a hat, a scarf and a book that i had an eye for while he had a good time chit-chatting.
..........................

after lunch, we went to sue's. had a nice time at her place apart from being cold cos the heater wasn't working (that's what i thought) altho sue claimed that it has been on the whole day.

anyway, we watched Eastenders while waiting for Thai takeway. Zoey, Chrissy and Sam agreed to get together and decided Den is their target. it's a classic drama which the production managed to stretch few episodes from where these 3 women should have been working together in the first place anyway. but that doesn't stop us from watching it every weekdays except wednesday. (that's when our life feel a bit empty... no eastenders!)

Martin arrived at the same time as the takeaway. He's a very laid-back guy, Martin. such a cool person to hang out with. oh and he thinks my hat is cool. (was wearing my new hat at sue's all the time).

Finally we arrived in banbury at 11.30pm - Mum fetched us at the train station. poor mum. she didnt want to keep us waiting like last time. we arrived at night, cold , muffin was hungry, he got really cranky and mum's at home chatting with June on the phone!

it was't her fault really. she's not used to the idea of having a mobile. she keeps her mobile safely in her handbag together with the rest of her stuff, in her bedroom. she doesn't see anything wrong with it until Muffin pointed out a mobile should be kept in the zone where you can hear it ringing. which means, storing it inside a handbag, in a bedroom all day.., isn't exactly the right place to keep one.

hey Mayang!! didnt know u own a blog!!
will visit more to catch up with your updates
anyways, i have a blog too
come over when u have the time
cheers!!!
